Welcome to Trinity Health's Motivation Website

A healthy lifestyle is built on a foundation of knowledge and commitment.  Motivation® helps you maintain this foundation with a variety of tools to help you learn more about your lifestyle and a long term tracking tool that helps you see your improvement over time.  Motivation is a comprehensive activity and lifestyle management tool.  It will permit you to log your workouts and other activities, to learn more about health and fitness and to work with the Trinity Health Exercise Physiology staff as you plan your personal journey to fitness.  By January 2012, we will be making a major overall to the Motivation website.  We are very excited to bring you a more comprehensive and feature-loaded website!  Watch for announcements!

Getting Started
To get started with Motivation, simply log in with the login ID and Password designated by yourself as directed by our staff.  If no account has been registered yet, the system will prompt you for some basic demographic information like your name, login ID, password, birthdate, gender, address, etc.  You may need to click on "Create One Now" under the member login to start your account.  To create an account, the ID should be as follows: Your first initial of your first name, and the first initial of your last name, followed by the last four digits of your Social Security number: for example: AB1234.  Your password can be anything you wish.  If you have forgotten your ID or password, please contact us.  Please do not create a new account if you have already had one in the past.

You will also be prompted to read and submit acceptance of the "Waiver, Release of Liability, and Consent" form. Next, complete the Detailed Medical Questionnaire.  We may seek your "Physician's Consent for Medical Clearance" and/or your consent for "Medical Clearance Assumption of Risk" before proceeding with benefits and services.

Logging Activites
The most important single task that you'll perform in Motivation is to log your workouts or other activities.  Trinity Health employees are no longer required to log their exercise minutes.  However, we strongly suggest that you continue doing so!   Logging of your time spent in participation of exercise and recreation may be a requirement of your organizations incentive and reimbursement wellness program.  Also, logging is important because it helps you see, over time, how your workout program contributes to your health, fitness, and weight management goals.  To log a workout, simply click the "Activity Log" link.  You''ll see your current log.  Click the "Enter New Activity" link to enter a new workout.  If you click the "Display Table of Results" link on the first activity page, you'll be shown a tabular version of your log that will also show you the total calories (and pounds!) you've burned from all your activities since starting the system.

Learning More
Motivation is an excellent resource for anyone wishing to learn more about Health and Fitness.  There are a variety of articles online, opportunities to interact with our staff, and several excellent "Health Risk" questionnaires that let you learn more about your personal prospects for a long and healthy life.  Following your individual fitness assessment (IFA) you can schedule a half-hour private consultation ($22.25 fee)  to review your results, set your goals, and learn more about your journey to better health and wellness.  You can even have a staff member prepare workouts (individual exercise prescriptions/IEP) that you can pick up on Motivation - with pictures and descriptions of each exercise!  IEP's start at just $51.00 for an 8 to 12 week program.  We also offer personal training, and group personal training to help you reach you personal wellness goals.
